The HEMA-Cast

HEMA stands for Historical European Martial Arts and is an activity practiced by thousands across the country and around the world. The HEMA-Cast is a podcast focused on the topics and events important to the HEMA community. By going to events and interviewing members of HEMA, we get to exchange ideas and get to know the HEMA community at large.

Peter Bruseau and James Auger are our guests today.

James auger is from Elizabeth City North Carolina and is an independent scholar of the Longsword. He studies a combination of styles pulling from what works the best for him in his experience. We spoke about what it's like to study on your own and the difficulties in finding spaces to practice the art.
