Give a Girl a Sword is an initiative started by Esfinges to encourage events intended to make it easier and more welcoming for women to join and get involved in HEMA. You can find more information about Esfinges on facebook, or their website, esfinges.net. The Esfinges (The Sphinxes) was born out of a need to assist women wanting to begin study of these arts so they can start practicing Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) and to bring female practitioners HEMA together.
